My Application for educational benefits was rejected

Hi everyone,

As the title said, I was rejected because of using VPN.
But, my dear, I am in CHINA NOW, not in Taiwan, Hongkong, or Macau. How can I access Github without Using VPN? Do I have to tell Xi that “Because I want to apply for educational benefits to Github, please stop the Great Firewall of China so that I can verify my address without using a VPN”?This is so unreasonable!
